The Punch collection is the fourth family of products designed by Alexander Taylor for Established & Sons. Once again Alexander has drawn inspiration from a domestic environment looking into the language of audio speakers; the repetitive pattern of spots and indentations and the strong frame that often encapsulates them. The minimalist family of four storage units is also a continuation of Alexander’s interest in folded metal. An understated modernist quality is evident in the Punch collection with the use of bevel edges on the individual holes that are repeated in the door. The punch holes have a structural purpose and have been made in order to add maximum strength to the thin gauge metal aluminium used. The tactile quality of the rubberised painted Punch storage units also further enhances the durability required for any contract or residential environment.
